Job Description

Job Overview Lufkin Rubber & Gasket has an opportunity for an experienced Waterjet Operator with CAD experience to join our team. In this role you will perform a variety of duties in the shop including utilizing CAD software, operating the waterjet, and working in other areas such as the hose fabrication shop.
Role & Responsibilities:
Interpret sketches and draw all orders on the machine's CAD Program, read shop orders and other related technical data, in order to determine the machine's set up and control settings. Set up and operate CNC waterjet cutting systems (preferably OMAX) to manufacture components as per drawings and specifications. Retrieve material from inventory racks using forklift. Draw or nest parts for cutting in order to maximize yield and minimize waste. After cutting, inspect and measure each piece, then mark according to quality standards. Ability to work with quality inspection tools. Prioritize workload to meet customer requirements and company performance goals. Support other work cells in the shop as needed.
Requirements:
Experience with CAD software and programming. Math skills including fractions and decimals. Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch. Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail oriented and able to multi-task. Minimum 18 years of age.
