- Mount Pleasant Is one of six specialty wire, cable, and tubing solution manufacturing companies located throughout North America.
We have over 100 years of innovative engineered solutions for critical, industrial, and commercial applications. We are the experts in our industry. The Buncher Operator is responsible for the setting-up and the operation of the buncher to combine component sub-assemblies into a twisted cable. Third shifts are typically Mon-Fri 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Will train on day shift which is typically Mon-Thur 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Essential Duties:
Strive to achieve continuous improvement in all activities, processes, and with all projects at Dekoron.
Understands and follows safety practices and the ability to promote safety in all processes and activities.
Ability to perform quality work without supervision.
Load payoff(s) using hoist.
Load with sub-assembly to properly correspond with lay-up chart.
Load tapes, binder and fillers as required on appropriate payoff equipment.
Set-up equipment with proper dies, gear ratios, tensions, payoff angles to perform function and perform external setups while in operation.
Operate main equipment and auxiliary equipment to perform function
Maintain manufacturing control system paperwork (line logs, move tickets, etc.)
Inspect product/samples for quality acceptance and maintain logs, SPC forms, etc. as required.
Unload completed product using hoist
Clean equipment, tools, etc.
Maintain work area housekeeping and assists in department housekeeping
Understanding and knowledge of when to report unusual conditions, defective material or equipment to a supervisor in a timely manner.
Ability to follow correct procedures for Kanban of insulated wire, bare drain wire, and shielding tapes
Communicates with other shift operators as to schedule and/or problems
Assists with training of new employees; assists with cross-training of current employees
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent, required
Technical training, preferred
Licenses or certifications are not required for this position
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred, but not required
Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
