  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Reverse Unit / Power Swivel / Laydown Machine Operator to safely operate and maintain our reverse circulating units, power swivels, and pipe laydown machines on customer locations throughout the Permian Basin.
This is an on-call, job-by-job position dispatched from our Odessa yard. The operator is responsible for rigging up, running, and rigging down equipment in support of fishing, workover, completion, and plug-and-abandonment operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate reverse circulating units, power swivels, and pipe laydown machines safely and efficiently at the wellsite. Transport equipment from the Odessa yard to the wellsite and back using a company vehicle. Perform pre-job inspections, rig-up, operation, rig-down, and post-job checks of all assigned equipment. Conduct routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot field issues, and report deficiencies to the Field Operations Manager. Work safely around the rig floor with the customer's company man, tool pusher, rig crew, and other third-party service providers. Participate in JSAs, pre-job safety meetings, and stop-work authority. Follow EFRS and customer HSE policies at all times. Complete and submit accurate job tickets, DOT logs, daily reports, and equipment paperwork. Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicle in clean, road-ready, and field-ready condition. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating reverse units, power swivels, and/or pipe laydown machines in oilfield service operations. H2S Clear (current certification). IADC RigPass or SafeLand USA orientation (current). First Aid / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong working knowledge of rig floor operations, tubular handling, and wellsite safety. Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal job instructions in English. High school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications IADC Well Control (WellSharp or equivalent) — Workover/Completion level. Prior experience with fishing, workover, or completion operations. Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting aptitude. Schedule On-call, job-by-job basis. Must be willing to respond to call-outs on short notice, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to work extended hours at the wellsite as job conditions require. Physical Requirements & Pre-Employment Screening Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and remain subject to random and post-incident testing throughout employment. Pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check and criminal background check. Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly and up to 75 lbs occasionally. Able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work at heights and in confined spaces. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, dust, rain) typical of the Permian Basin. Able to wear required PPE, including FRC, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and respiratory protection when required.
