Make a difference as a Conformal Coating Operator As a Conformal Coating Operator at Krypton Solutions, your daily responsibilities will include preparing and setting up coating equipment according to specifications. You will apply conformal coatings to electronic components, ensuring uniform coverage and adherence to quality standards. Inspect each product meticulously for any defects or inconsistencies and make adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards of quality. Follow strict safety and operational protocols while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Apply conformal coating materials (e.g., acrylic, urethane, silicone) to PCB assemblies using automated and/or manual methods (spray, dip, or brush) per work instructions and engineering documentation. Perform underfill, staking and encapsulation of components using epoxies, silicones, or other approved materials. Follow proper masking and demasking procedures to protect keep-out areas during coating processes. Setup, operate, and maintain coating equipment, including programming basic dispense patterns. Inspect coated assemblies for coverage, thickness, and defects (e.g., bubbles, voids, bridging) using UV light, microscopes, and thickness gauges. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of workstations and tools. What we're looking for in a Conformal Coating Operator To excel as a Conformal Coating Operator at Krypton Solutions, a keen eye for detail is essential, as precision is crucial in applying coatings to electronic components. Strong manual dexterity and coordination are vital to handle various tasks effectively and ensure consistent application. Good problem-solving skills will help you quickly identify and address any issues that arise during the production process. Additionally, the ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols is necessary to maintain a safe working environment and produce high-quality work. Strong communication skills will aid in effective collaboration with team members and supervisors, enhancing teamwork within the manufacturing setting. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year experience in conformal coating, staking, or encapsulation of electronic assemblies. Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and
J-STD-001
requirements. Ability to use hand tools (e.g., syringes, brushes), UV inspection lamps, and masking materials effectively. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work under magnification. Able to read and follow written work instructions and process documents in English. Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical electronics manufacturing. Certification in IPC-A-610 or
J-STD-001.
