Laser Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our machine shop team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints, measure and verify parts, and manage the complete process from drawing to running the part. Responsibilities Operate laser machines effectively and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Measure and verify parts to ensure precision. Set up and operate CNC and press brake machines. Perform inspections and ensure quality of produced parts. Essential Skills Proficiency in laser operation and sheet metal fabrication. Experience in blueprint reading and inspection. Knowledge of Mazak laser machines. Prior experience in a metal manufacturing shop. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CNC and press brake machines. Ability to set up own machine. Prior experience as a Laser Machine Operator is preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in an industrial machine shop environment, which is non-climate controlled. The role begins with day shift training for approximately one month, followed by transition to second shift working from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and Fridays from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rhome, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
