F18 Flight Ops - General Mechanic If interested or qualified please contact kenna with aerotek to be set up with an interview 843 972 1886 Job Description As a General Mechanic in Flight Operations, you will perform maintenance operations on aircraft, aircraft equipment, engines, components, and systems in accordance with Department of Defense, manufacturer, company, supplier, and other directives. Your role will support aircraft modification, including Airframe & Powerplant repairs and potentially Fuel Cell work. Responsibilities Remove, install, and rig flight controls. Inspect as CDI or CDQAR and perform functional checks. Perform hydraulic component removal and installation. Conduct depot disassembly and rebuilds. Utilize ground support equipment. Engage in ramp, flight line, and flight operations maintenance. Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical manuals. Set up and use pneumatic tools and torque wrenches. Remove and replace panels, floorboards, insulation, and sealing compounds. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Document maintenance and repair actions accurately. Comply with health and safety regulations and tool control. Order parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required. Perform duties on all shifts without weather or location constraints. Wear required safety equipment while performing duties. Perform other duties as directed by supervision and management. Essential Skills Experience in aircraft maintenance at depot level. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation. Proficiency in using pneumatic tools and torque wrenches. Experience with large aircraft components and systems. Strong communication skills. Capability to document maintenance actions clearly. Additional Skills & Qualifications A&P certification preferred. Familiarity with air-frame and power-plant components. Why Work Here?
