Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Field Laborers / Equipment Operators to join our growing team. Candidates must be able to read job site maps, operate heavy equipment (especially Vermeer machines), and perform physical labor in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and safety-minded Machine Operator to join our construction crew. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience operating Vermeer drilling machines and other heavy construction equipment, along with a strong understanding of underground utility work and safety procedures. Responsibilities Operate Vermeer drilling and excavation equipment safely and efficiently Read and follow utility maps, blueprints, and repair plans Perform equipment checks and report issues to the foreman Assist with locating underground utilities Mix, pour, and finish asphalt or concrete as needed Maintain worksite safety and cleanliness Perform physical labor including digging, lifting, and material handling (50+ lbs) Drive company or personal vehicle to and from job sites Requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Previous experience in asphalt, concrete, or utility construction highly desired
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team Qualifications 18 years or older Experience with high speed production lines (e.
g., high output, high performance equipment, fast paced production environment, etc.) Experience operating a filler machine (e.g., ensuring right mix of product, operating production computer, etc.) Experience reading blueprints (e.g., read schematics on a machine, understanding production product flow, etc.) Experience reading schedules (e.g., products being produced, understanding production requirements, production planning, managing changeovers, etc.) Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.) Experience with preventative maintenance (e.g., inspecting and maintaining equipment, detecting and correcting issues before they occur, etc.) Pay & Schedule Competitive hourly pay based on experience Full-time position Monday - Friday schedule (occasional weekends depending on workload)
