FUNCTIONSPosition requires the ability to count, measure, and weigh materials accurately.Requires heavy lifting daily of 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. Position requires quality-oriented, safety-minded, and service-oriented individuals.
Requires learning/knowledge of hazardous material handling.
Preparation of Gritline equipment for daily operations. The gritline operators prepare grit mixes, sealers, and correct grit types and amounts into batches and then proceed with the proper gritting cycles. Make minor adjustments to equipment, and/ or cycle to obtain a quality product. The gritline operator ensures that all that all the products meet quality standards.
This position must learn and understand the company's mixes and material identification.
Housekeeping in and around equipment, buildings on a daily basis and wherever it is required.
Position requires learning all SOP's pertaining to this area for individual files.
Other duties may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to use basic math skills such as add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. Ability to use measuring tapes and other recording instruments is required.Must be willing and able to obtain internal forklift qualifications and CCT qualified when chosen.
