Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for operating embroidery machine in accordance with the published schedule. Sewing associates use knowledge and expertise to ensure work is performed in an effective, efficient, and safe manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
Shift:
7:00AM-3:30PM M-Th. 7am-12noon Fridays
MUST HAVE EMBROIDERY EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read and interpret daily schedules by identifying raw materials required.
  • Organizes materials and preps machinery.
  • Operates embroidery machine in an effective, safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality service and producing a quality product through close attention to detail in accordance with product specifications and delivery requirements.
  • Remove the assembled materials from the machine appropriately without damaging it and place it in the designated area.
  • Performs duties safely and maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Report any safety hazards, work injuries or building and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains a culture that supports teamwork, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position performs work with minimal direction and is subject to guidance from the facility managers. Periodic review of work is conducted by the appropriate supervisor, ensuring that work is performed in a effective, efficient, and safe manner as needed to satisfy customers.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
Associates must be able to effectively interact with all levels in the organization.

Job duties require use of embroidery machine.
EDUCATION, JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of related work in manufacturing.
  • Must be able to read, understand and speak English to be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to apply basic computer, reading & math skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task according to daily schedule.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend required documents, such as safety rules, operating procedures, schedules and instructions.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of operation of special equipment such as hand truck and moving equipment, and assorted hand tools.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(includes physical requirements, work hazards, environmental factors)
  • Work requires standing approximately 75% of the time, walking and moving around the facility 25% of the time.
  • Job duties require occasionally lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. Must occasionally push and pull up to 20 lbs. When practical, assistance, special lifting and moving equipment should be utilized.
  • Job responsibilities require frequent reaching with hands and arms and moving around the production areas. Manual dexterity is needed for handling materials, adjusting controls, and feeling.
  • Normal visual, hearing and speaking abilities are required by this job.
  • May occasionally be exposed to work hazards, such as humid conditions, fluctuation in temperature, vibrations from equipment, and electrical or mechanical equipment hazards.
  • Frequently exposed to moving parts on machinery as well as movement of forklifts and other production equipment.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, odors, dust, mist and poor ventilation.
  • Must follow safety precautions and use personal protective equipment when needed, such as close toe shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves.
  • Moderate noise associated with a typical manufacturing work environment.
