Job Overview GOEX is hiring an Extrusion Technician I to support production on our sheet and roll stock lines. This is a hands-on role. You'll be operating equipment, monitoring product quality, and supporting the team to keep the line running efficiently. This is not a "stand and watch the machine" type position. You'll need to be mechanically inclined, pay attention to detail, problem solve, and take ownership of your work to succeed in this role. We're looking for someone who can stay engaged throughout the shift, work well with a team, and show up consistently. Responsibilities Operate extrusion lines to meet quality, efficiency, and scrap targets Perform basic startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers (gauge, color, etc.) Assist with roll changes, die changes, and material setups Monitor product quality and make adjustments to keep product in spec Complete accurate production reporting and traceability documentation Ensure auxiliary equipment (blenders, grinders, dryers, etc.) is running properly to minimize downtime Take ownership of your line—direct operators and coordinate with support teams to keep production running smoothly Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and process issues, making adjustments as needed rather than relying solely on maintenance or engineering Support line cleanouts and job changeovers Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Identify and escalate more complex equipment or quality issues when needed Assist other lines and teams as needed Qualifications 3+ years of manufacturing or machine operation experience Strong mechanical aptitude (you can troubleshoot, not just observe) Ability to stay engaged in a fast-paced production environment Good attendance and reliability — this is a team-dependent role Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with others on the floor Ability to follow processes and maintain attention to detail Willingness to learn, take direction, and continue developing technical skills Preferred (Not Required) Plastics or extrusion experience Experience with process systems or production screens Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) Experience in ISO/GMP environments Physical Requirements Standing for most of the shift with minimal sitting Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching Working around heat, moving equipment, and industrial conditions Occasional work at 40 ft above floor level Schedule 12-hour rotating schedule (2x2x3):
