Banding Machine Operator Artisan Woodworks - 3.0 Salt Lake City, UT Job Details Part-time From $14 an hour 1 day ago Benefits On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Qualifications Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Banding Machine Operator to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a high end banding machine. This machine applies custom edge banding to various materials such as melamine and wood veneer. Your duties will contribute to creating functional, durable, and visually appealing custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. This position offers many learning opportunities and potential for advancement. Duties (On-the-job training available) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure proper application of banding materials Use hand tools and operate an edge-banding machine Maintain the edge banding machine, i.e refilling glue canisters, cleaning the nozzle, lubricating and cleaning the chain, etc. Perform heavy lifting and maneuver large or bulky materials safely on the manufacturing floor Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to specifications and safety protocols Collaborate with team members on ensuring details are correct, parts are fabricated correctly, and finalization is completed thoroughly Preferred Skills (Not Required) Proper operation of edge-banding machinery Proficiency with hand tools (saws, drills, hammers) Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during production Knowledge of construction site safety practices and experience working on active construction sites or manufacturing environments Communication skills for collaborating with team members on schematics interpretation and project coordination Notes Pay is negotiable, and may be determined by skill and/or experience. Scheduling is highly negotiable, as this is a part-time job. English is preferred, but some employees are also fluent in Spanish. No experience is required. This position offers on-the-job training for a part-time position.
