GED Full Job Description Duties/Responsibilities Operate Machinery:
Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment such as mixers, encapsulators, tablet presses, and packaging machines to produce nutraceutical products according to specifications.
Quality Control:
Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure compliance with company standards, GMP regulations, and customer specifications. Report any deviations or defects immediately.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance. Identify and report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
Documentation:
Accurately complete production logs, batch records, and other required documentation to maintain traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.
Inventory Management:
Monitor raw material and finished product inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies for production runs and reporting shortages to supervisors.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other operators, quality control staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth production processes and timely completion of production schedules.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in training programs and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical systems is a plus.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or food production.
Skills:
Familiarity with operating and maintaining production machinery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as SOPs and batch records. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Certifications:
GMP training or certification is preferred but not required (training provided).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Stand for extended periods, and work in a controlled manufacturing environment (e.g., cleanroom conditions). Work Environment The role involves working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and controlled temperatures. Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, or overtime, depending on production needs.
