Machine Operator

Our client is currently seeking a dependable Machine Operator in Chester, Virginia, to support weekend production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience working around machinery, understands the importance of quality standards, and can stay focused throughout a long shift. The Machine Operator will be responsible for producing parts, inspecting finished products, and helping keep production running safely and efficiently. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting where accuracy matters.

The Day-to-Day:

Operate production machinery to produce the required quantity of parts according to company standards Measure finished parts using precision tools to confirm they meet required specifications and tolerances Inspect products regularly to ensure functional, quality, and cosmetic standards are being met Identify and resolve basic production or quality issues when possible Notify the supervisor of equipment concerns, product defects, or issues requiring additional support Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup, alignment, and safe operation Perform basic routine adjustments and minor maintenance as needed Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards Follow all company quality, safety, and production procedures Complete other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment is required Must be able to stand for the full duration of the shift Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team Comfortable working in a production-focused environment

Pay Rate:

$16.00 to $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

Day Shift:

Saturday to Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00

PM Night Shift:

Saturday to Sunday 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Additional on-call hours may be available during the week for candidates interested in working extra hours.
