Job Title:

Machine Operator Job Description Join our team to operate specialized fabrication equipment for metal bending and cutting in the production of large window and glass units. You will work with CNC machines, manage programs for each run, and engage with computer-based programs and measuring equipment throughout your shift. Responsibilities Operate CNC equipment specific to the industry, including saws, brake press, and other specialized machinery for metal bending. Change programs for each run and manipulate CNC control panels. Identify and interpret digital 3D drawings and reprogram as necessary for various runs. Meet overall and daily production goals for respective departments. Utilize hoists and team lifts for moving larger or awkward objects. Essential Skills 1-2 years of experience with CNC equipment and metal fabrication. Proficiency in machine operation and CNC setup. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure accurately. Extensive measuring experience and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to manage tasks flexibly and willingness to perform material handling or cleaning if needed. Can-do attitude and positive approach to work. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a non-climate controlled, bustling manufacturing facility filled with loud machines. Be prepared for tasks both indoors and outdoors, especially during the busy season. Shift options include a second shift from 2:30-11 PM, with initial training on the day shift. This team-oriented environment requires precision and cross-department collaboration. Attendance is crucial and closely monitored. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
