Job Description
We are a fast-paced, family-owned print shop seeking an experienced Skilled Digital Press Operator to join our team. This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate can work independently, maintain high quality standards, and keep production moving efficiently in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities Operate sheet-fed digital presses (up to 13x19) Read and accurately follow job jackets and production instructions Select appropriate paper stocks and machine settings Perform color correction and maintain color accuracy Handle basic imposition and file setup adjustments Complete finishing work (cutting, folding, creasing, bindery) Perform quality checks to ensure jobs meet specifications Troubleshoot equipment and production issues Assist in other areas of the shop as needed (bindery, shipping, etc.) Qualifications 2+ years experience in digital printing or related field Strong understanding of paper types, weights, and grain direction Experience with color management and correction Familiarity with imposition and production file setup Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills Computer literate (RIP software, file handling, basic systems) Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Work Environment & Expectations Ability to work independently and stay on task Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Willingness to support other areas of the shop when needed Reliable, consistent, and team-oriented What We Offer Competitive pay:
