Production Supervisor Job Summary:
The Cup Loaders primary responsibility is to monitor and maintain the necessary levels of 4 ounce cups as required by specifications to maintain continuous operation of the 4 ounce filler machines. The Cup Loader will also be required to stack, load, move, and convey pallets to and from designated areas.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintain Pallet Logs with accurate Lot numbers, dates and times, and submit reports as required according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Use Hand Pallet Jack to receive, maneuver, place and adjust pallets with boxes of cups. Manually move and store pallets in designated area for removal. Observe foreign material risks as the cups are removed from boxes and cartons, de-stacked, and placed in the filler machine for use. Constantly monitor and maintain cup levels in the filler machine as necessary for continuous, efficient and smooth filler machine operation according to specifications. Open, remove and breakdown cartons and plastic bags for recycling, by hand or using tools. Constantly monitor the floor around the filler machines for overflow. Use a spray hose to rinse and cleanse the areas under and around the filler machine, keeping overflow from spilling into the walkway path around the filler machine, and leading to the apple pool. Monitor the waste grate drains under the filler machine to ensure overflow does not flood the walkway. Assist and relieve the filler operator as needed for breaks, lunches, vacations, etc. Maintain a clean and orderly work area around the filler area. Other duties, as needed.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic math, reading, writing and literacy required. Ability to identify all machine and work center stop buttons, machine guards, belts, hoods, doors and safety warnings, among other items, to ensure safety and efficient operation of assigned machines. Previous experience, aptitude and/or willingness for hands-on mechanical troubleshooting. Basic Computer skills strongly preferred. Regular and reliable attendance required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in the Production Area. Must be able to communicate with all levels of management and maintenance. Ability to safely use sharp instruments, hand tools, mechanical tools (such as wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) and a Non-Powered Pallet Jack. Ability to safely use a hot glue gun and replace the glue stick as needed. Ability to work in fast paced environment where priorities change frequently. Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Cup Loader is required to work on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat and/or cold. The associate continuously works near moving mechanical parts. The associate will be exposed to loud noises from production equipment and thus will be required to wear PPE. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be high at times due to production and mechanical equipment noise. The associate will regularly need to lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally push or pull up to 70 pounds.Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; see, talk and /or hear. The associate will be required to lift, climb, bend, stoop and crouch. The associate is required to stand for up to a 10 hour period (with breaks).
