Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with CNC programming and automation systems, and experience working within a manufacturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic production facility dedicated to precision, quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Operate and monitor various manufacturing machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Set up machines according to specifications using blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical instructions. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Fanuc controls to program, troubleshoot, and optimize machine operations. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; ensure proper storage and inventory management. Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges. Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints for accurate fabrication. Assist in tooling setup, adjustments, and fabrication processes including welding and assembly line tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards at all times. Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality. Skills Proficiency with CNC programming, CAM programming, CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar tools. Experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brakes, and flexo presses. Knowledge of Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively. Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and precision measurement techniques. Familiarity with manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, materials handling, packaging, and assembly line operations. Ability to use hand tools accurately for assembly or minor repairs. Experience with factory environments or manufacturing facilities preferred. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Warehouse experience beneficial for materials management and logistics coordination. Knowledge of welding techniques is an advantage for fabrication tasks. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of production quality while fostering a safe work environment.
