Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator Associate to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery and equipment to produce high-quality components and products. Your expertise in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting will ensure efficient production processes and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with CNC programming, and familiarity with manufacturing tools and techniques. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment focused on precision, quality, and continuous improvement. Duties Operate CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools to produce precise parts according to specifications. Set up and calibrate machinery including Fanuc controls, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses for various production runs. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD files to ensure accurate fabrication. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist in loading/unloading raw materials and finished goods. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions. Assist in fabrication processes including welding, tooling setup, assembly line tasks, and packaging of finished products. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support quality control procedures by inspecting parts for defects and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards. Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes and tooling. Skills Proficiency with CNC programming languages and controllers such as Fanuc; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment including stamping presses, CNC mills, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and fabrication tools. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings using GD&T principles. Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for part design review or modifications. Experience operating forklifts and understanding safe materials handling practices within a manufacturing facility. Skilled in the use of hand tools, precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers), and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Knowledge of factory operations including assembly lines, packaging processes, tooling setups, welding techniques, and quality control standards. Prior factory or manufacturing experience is preferred; familiarity with warehouse procedures is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
