In this role, you will operate high-pressure water jet machinery to cut a variety of materials with exceptional accuracy, ensuring quality and efficiency at every step. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with CNC programming will be essential in delivering top-tier results that meet tight specifications. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment that values innovation, safety, and craftsmanship. Duties Set up and operate CNC water jet cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are maintained throughout production runs Program water jet equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce precise cuts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure accurate material processing Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC water jet machinery to maximize uptime and efficiency Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; prepare raw materials for cutting operations Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances meet specifications Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and inspection results to support continuous improvement initiatives Skills Strong understanding of CAD software such as SolidWorks for designing parts, Flownest, and tooling setups Experience with CAM programming for water jet or other CNC machining processes Knowledge of blueprint reading, and mechanical drawings for accurate fabrication Familiarity with factory safety protocols, warehouse experience, and materials handling procedures including forklift operation Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, material quantities, and machine settings Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including tooling setup and maintenance Experience working in manufacturing environments focused on machining or fabrication processes involving water jets or similar equipment This role offers an engaging environment where your technical skills will directly contribute to high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
