Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planer Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate planer machinery to produce precise wood components, ensuring high-quality millwork and woodworking products. Your expertise will help streamline production processes, maintain safety standards, and support the overall efficiency of our manufacturing operations. Duties/Skills Operate the planer to shape and smooth wood surfaces according to specified dimensions and tolerances You will learn to change knives on planer heads, adjust cutting tools, feed rates, depths of cut and adjusting pressure rollers to meet precise specifications. This job requires a blend of technical mechanical skills, strict adherence to safety protocols, and keen attention to quality control. Physical requirements- ability to lift 50- 75lbs , stand for long periods and be able to read a tape measure Training on the job, prior experience is beneficial and can lead to a higher starting pay.
