Machine Operator Assistant Pay:
$24.30/

Renton, WA Overview Step into a hands-on role with a well‑established, family‑run manufacturer specializing in corrugated packaging. As a Machine Operator Assistant on the swing shift, you'll gain exposure to a variety of production machines while building valuable skills in a fast‑paced industrial setting. This position is ideal for individuals who want long-term growth and enjoy learning through practical experience. What You'll Do Learn to operate multiple types of converting machinery safely and efficiently. Follow quality guidelines and production standards to ensure accurate, high‑quality output. Support the workflow at your assigned production station and assist with daily machine tasks. Review job orders and understand product specifications. Continuously build your technical skill set through hands-on training. Work closely with teammates to meet production goals and maintain a positive, collaborative environment. Adhere to company policies, safety rules, and operational procedures. Cross-train in different production areas and contribute wherever needed. Key Qualifications Able to read and write in English. Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn new processes quickly. Comfortable working around large, industrial equipment. Capable of working at high speed while maintaining strong attention to detail and safety. Solid basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately. Must be able to work overtime as required. Preferred Traits & Experience Ability to lift up to 75 lbs throughout the shift. Previous manufacturing experience or strong history in physically demanding jobs. A desire to understand how machines work and a motivation to advance into higher‑level roles. Self-driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic about long-term career growth. Not afraid to ask questions, seek direction, and learn continuously. Expect a team-focused atmosphere with plenty of cross-training and hands-on learning opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
