Additional Compensation Details:
$20-23 Potential 90-day performance-based raiseYearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenureJob DescriptionThe Machine Operator is an on-site position and requires regular attendance at the facility. THey will operate and monitor machinery used in washing, cutting, sorting, and packaging fresh vegetables. Ensures product quality, food safety, and efficient production flow in a refrigerated warehouse/processing environment.Duties Include but are not limited to:
Operate vegetable processing equipment such as cutters, slicers, conveyors, and packaging machineSet up machines at the start of shift, including calibration, blade checks, and safety inspectionsMonitor equipment performance and make basic adjustments to maintain product quality and line speedLoad raw produce into machines and ensure continuous product flowInspect finished product for quality, size, weight, and packaging accuracyFollow all food safety, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards safety, sanitation, and GMP standardsPerform routine cleaning and minor maintenance on equipmentReport on mechanical issues to maintenance or supervisorsKeep accurate production logs, waste records, and downtime notesWork safely in a cold, fast paced environment while meeting production quotaCollaborate with line leads, quality assurance, and other team members to maintain smooth operationsQualificationsExperience in food processing, manufacturing, or machine operation preferredAbility to work in refrigerated conditions (typically 34-40°F)Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safetyAbility to lift 30-50 lbs. and stand for long periodsBasic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor machine issuesAbility to follow written and verbal instructions in EnglishReliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethicAdditional InformationSupplemental InformationThis employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
