Job Title:

Machine Operator Job Description This position involves operating a metal shear to break down 4' sheets of 24 & 26 gauge steel into 5" strips, producing various colors of flashing for a large client. The ideal candidate should be organized and a self-starter. Responsibilities Operate a metal shear to process steel sheets into strips. Ensure production of various colors of flashing as required. Maintain organization and efficiency in tasks. Collaborate within a team environment and multitask to accomplish assigned tasks. Essential Skills Comfort with general labor tasks. Experience with HVAC and sheet metal parts preferred. Ability to use or willingness to learn to use a sit-down forklift (Hyster). Safety awareness when working with sheet metal. Work Environment Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm, in a warehouse setting with four employees. The role involves independent work at the end of the warehouse, with a focus on safety and precision. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lakewood, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
