Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years.
NJFC operates three production facilities:
Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA. We are looking for a seasonal Empty Can De-Palletizer Operator to be responsible for ensuring a steady flow of empty cans to the production lines to the Solbern fillers at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically August - November. For additional information, please see our "About Us" video, Our Story -
Neil Jones Food Company Key Responsibilities:
Uses proper tools to remove shrink wrap from pallets of empty cans. Removes fiber or wood tops from pallets; able to stack tops. Uses push buttons or levers to move pallets. Collects tags from each pallet and turns them into quality control at the end of the shift. Communicates with empty can forklift driver and/or floor leads if there are issues to be addressed.
Requirements :
Able to communicate with others verbally and remain calm under stress and strain. Complies with all Food Safety Initiatives and performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Able to make critical decisions while following company procedures. Able to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically August to early November.
