SUMMARY:

Sets up and operates sheeter to sheet rolls of paper into sheets by performing the following duties.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Job functions include, but are not limited to the following. Review job ticket. Conducts make ready as required. Pulling defective sheets as required. Clean area around press. Perform maintenance as required. Deliver cut sheets to printing department.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-3 years related experience and/or training

SCHEDULE DEMANDS

Employees are required to work 8-hour (M-F). Occasional overtime is required to include 10-to-12-hour shifts. Employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. Safe Quality Food Responsibilities

• Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.

Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures. Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required. Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF). Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move in a pushing and pulling motion when helping change loads; frequently required to climb on and off the press platform; continuously required to work above ground on top of the press; frequently required to bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and twist while washing blankets, and checking wheels; required to crawl when setting wheels; occasionally required to reach when replacing wheels; and frequently required to use eye, hand and foot coordination when making load change. Hand coordination is required of both hands for simple grasping. The employee must not be colorblind. The employee is frequently required to lift under 10 pounds and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Wear PPE when required: Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection etc. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various office equipment.
