Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description The Machine Operator sets up, operates, and monitors production equipment to manufacture sticker labels for packages. This role supports the full production process from running machines and inspecting product to troubleshooting issues and packaging finished goods. Responsibilities Operate production and printing machines to manufacture sticker labels for packages according to established specifications and quality standards. Perform general production and machine operator tasks to support continuous, efficient workflow on the production floor. Conduct rewind and inspection work off presses to verify print quality, alignment, and overall product accuracy. Inspect materials and finished labels for defects or inconsistencies and take corrective actions when needed. Troubleshoot machines when mechanical issues arise and make basic adjustments to maintain optimal performance. Report complex mechanical or technical issues to maintenance or leadership for timely resolution. Package finished products accurately and securely, ensuring proper labeling and preparation for shipment. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery and performing production tasks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around machines and production lines. Collaborate with team members and communicate production status, issues, and improvement ideas to support overall efficiency. Essential Skills At least 2+ years of experience as a Machine Operator in a production or manufacturing environment. Proven ability to operate production and printing machinery safely and efficiently. Hands-on experience performing general labor tasks in a production setting. Ability to perform rewind and inspection work off presses with strong attention to detail. Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues. Strong focus on product quality and accuracy during inspection and packaging. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures. Reliability in working assigned shifts and supporting training requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in printing or label production environments is beneficial. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting. Comfort using basic hand tools or production-related equipment for adjustments and minor fixes. Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with other operators and production staff. Solid time management skills to meet production goals and deadlines. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled, brand new facility that is very clean, well lit, and designed for efficient production. The operation runs on three shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Candidates hired for off-shifts will train on 1st shift for approximately one month before moving to their regular schedule. The environment includes production and printing machinery, rewind and inspection stations, and packaging areas, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and consistent workflow. Dress will be appropriate for a manufacturing and production setting, supporting safe and comfortable operation of machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pewaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
