General Production Worker Job Description The General Production Worker supports the operation of printing machinery by assisting with machine setup, monitoring production runs, and performing general labor tasks to ensure efficient and consistent output. Responsibilities Assist with the setup, operation, and shutdown of printing machines according to established procedures. Monitor printing equipment during production runs to maintain quality and consistent output. Perform general production and labor tasks to support continuous workflow on the production floor. Operate machinery safely and efficiently, following all operational and safety guidelines. Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with printing and production equipment, escalating complex problems when needed. Inspect printed materials for quality, reporting and correcting defects or irregularities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around printing and production equipment. Follow production schedules and instructions to meet daily and weekly output targets. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth handoffs between shifts. Essential Skills At least 2 years of production experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. Hands-on experience with general labor and production tasks. Ability to operate machinery and production equipment safely and accurately. Experience supporting or operating printing machines or similar equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience as a printer operator or in a printing production environment. Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving minor mechanical problems on production equipment. Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting. Reliability and strong attendance record in previous roles. Willingness to learn new equipment and production processes. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pewaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
