Fermentation Operator Responsibilities:

• Has the ability to physically perform and complete necessary documentation for the following tasks
• Weigh media and cryoprotectant for production batches
• Perform palletization
• Clean rooms and equipment for production, excluding CIP/SIP of large equipment
• Ability to properly fill out room logs
• Understands how to navigate the HMI in order to see what status equipment is currently in
• Make media for INLA and fermenters
• Make cryoprotectant
• Use autoclave to sterilize equipment/media
• Perform all master sanitation tasks associated with department
• Follows operating discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards and practices to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned areas.
• Proactively identifies improvements and opportunities utilizing improvement processes, appropriate management of change processes, and communication tools
• Perform sanitation duties per established frequency and procedures
• Comply with plant safety rules and maintain work area in a clan and orderly condition Requirements for

Fermentation Operator:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
