Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper packaging of products in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining product quality, safety, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. Duties Operate packaging machinery and equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to ensure smooth production flow. Prepare and assemble packaging materials using hand tools and mechanical knowledge. Monitor packaging processes to meet quality standards, adhering to FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). Conduct routine inspections of packaged products for defects or inconsistencies. Maintain accurate documentation of packaging activities, including logs and reports. Use forklift and warehouse experience skills to manage inventory and move materials safely within the facility. Assist with assembly tasks related to packaging components as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent experience. Basic driving skills required; forklift driving experience a plus. General computer competency required Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, in particular a food safe environment, a plus. Ability to work autonomously using critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to complete assigned tasks safely without supervision. Demonstrate ownership of job function and area equipment. Demonstrate personal initiative and collaborative, team player approach. Ability to proactively drive continuous improvement project creation and execution. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently in order to communicate effectively with team members within and external to pack department. What you can expect atDidion:
