2nd shift Fiesta Machine Operator

Description Kaytee (Central Garden & Pet) is currently looking to fill 2 nd shift Class 4 Fiesta Mixer- Level I at Kaytee in Chilton, WI You would be responsible for setting up and running machines, palletizers, and scales. This position is for four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday; enjoy a long weekend every week! RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately mix ingredients according to specific formulas and delivering these mixes to the proper packaging bins. Ensure the quality and accuracy of each mix through visual checks and quality assurance processes. Schedule and plan mixing operations to align with the production schedule. Maintain clear and consistent communication between Line Leaders, Mill Operators, and Shift Supervisor. Record all inventory transactions accurately using RF scanner functions and proper documentation. Maintain work area in a clean and organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards. Understand and know the goals and objectives of the department. Comply with all safety rules and company policies. Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor. Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma preferred. Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds with frequent bending, lifting and twisting. Proficient math skills required. Ability to operate forklift and handcart in a safe manner. Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to operate an RF scanner device. Must have the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally (with assistance). Capable to bend, twist, turn and climb as needed. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work overtime as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Work temperatures can vary due to outside temperatures. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours (on each respective shift) and average at least 40 hours a week. There may be some variation in work hours due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.
