Machine Operator 1

The Machine Operator I (Set-Up Operator) is responsible for setting up and operating fabrication equipment, primarily punch press machines, to produce high-quality parts that meet established production standards. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality expectations while supporting overall departmental productivity and workflow. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including punch press machines, according to job specifications and production requirements. Review and interpret blueprints, job routers, and production schedules to ensure accurate part production. Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency standards. Maintain established production rates while ensuring quality requirements are consistently met. Identify and report defects in raw materials or finished products to the Team Lead or Supervisor immediately. Complete required documentation related to production, quality, and inventory control. Safely move materials throughout the department using manual and powered equipment (e.g., carts, pallet jacks). Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S and safety standards. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Position Expectations Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
