Our primary customers include leading semi-truck manufacturers, as well as aftermarket consumers seeking high-quality security products for light trucks and 4x4 vehicles. Our products range from lock and key systems to custom tailgate locks and vehicle lock boxes. Position Summary We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to operate automated key-cutting equipment. This role is critical to ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency in our production process. If you enjoy hands-on work and thrive in a structured manufacturing environment, this is a great opportunity—plus, you'll enjoy a consistent 4-day workweek with every Friday off! (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor automated key-cutting machines efficiently Scan and verify work orders for accuracy Select and load correct key blanks and magazines based on work orders Maintain detailed knowledge of key types, part numbers, and customer specifications Perform machine startup, shutdown, and changeovers as needed Conduct routine maintenance (daily, weekly, etc.) on equipment Inspect finished keys using tools such as optical comparators and calipers Sort and distribute completed keys and documentation to internal teams Maintain a clean, organized, and accurate inventory of key blanks Uphold quality standards to ensure products meet specifications Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours with breaks) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Comfort working in both shop and office environments Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and basic office tools Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay + Quarterly Profit Sharing Bonus (average $1,000+ every 3 months) 401(k) with company match up to 6% Health, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid time off and holidays Employee assistance program Referral bonus program Retirement plan options Why Join VSI? 4-day workweek - enjoy every Friday off!
