This hands-on role is responsible for operating industrial saw equipment and steel blasting machinery to prepare structural steel components for fabrication and finishing. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous fabrication, manufacturing, steel processing, or heavy industrial experience who are looking for long-term stability and growth within a team-oriented environment Responsibilities Operate industrial band saws and related cutting equipment to process structural steel materials Read work orders, cut lists, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure accurate cuts and material preparation Operate steel blasting equipment to clean and prepare steel surfaces for welding, painting, or shipment Load and unload steel materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment Inspect finished materials to verify quality and dimensional accuracy Maintain proper production flow while meeting daily production goals Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA standards Assist with additional shop duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience operating industrial saws, blasting equipment, or fabrication machinery preferred Experience in structural steel, metal fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and shop drawings Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
