Molder Setup & Knife Grinder

Job Summary Snow Country Hardwoods is hiring a Weinig Moulder Setup Technician / Operator to join our hardwood manufacturing team. This role focuses on machine setup, knife grinding, maintenance, and quality control to ensure efficient production and high-quality finished products. Responsibilities Set up and operate Weinig moulders for production runs Install, align, and adjust cutting heads, knives, and tooling Perform changeovers (profiles, widths, species) Calibrate machines to maintain dimensional accuracy Grind and maintain knives to proper specifications Inspect tooling and replace worn or damaged components Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, blade changes) Identify and report mechanical issues or downtime risks Inspect finished product for quality, dimensions, and finish Make machine adjustments to maintain consistent output Requirements Experience with Weinig moulders or similar woodworking equipment preferred Knife grinding experience strongly preferred Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Ability to read measurements and maintain tight tolerances Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced production environment Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Paid holidays and vacation 401(k) with company match 3% Health, dental, and vision insurance Stable, year-round employment Work Location Hurley, WI (In-person) How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed or contact Snow Country Hardwoods for more information.
