Manitowoc, WI Description / Scope / Mission Manufacture a high quality intermediate and bulk product using process equipment available in a safe and cost-effective manner. Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities 1. Understand the operation, methods, and all techniques used in the manufacture of chemical products. 2. Sanitize and assist in preparations for product making. 3. Pass forklift certification. 4. Wear provided safety equipment, i.e., dust mask, respirators, gloves, etc., when handling raw materials in areas subject to odors, fumes and high temperatures. 5. Follow established safety procedures and exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others and facilities. 6. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly fashion. 7. Communicate promptly and openly to Compounding Leads all operational and personnel problems. 8. Execute special assignments as directed by the Compounding Leads. 9. Handle all chemicals in accordance with State and local regulations.
MARGINAL JOB DUITES
NONE Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience High school diploma. HSED or equivalent experience. Basic math skills. Able to read, write and speak English language at the high school (12th Grade) level.
Experience:
Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Walk; and talk or hear up to 1/3 of the time. Reach above shoulders; climb or balance; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. Stand; and use hands to finger, handle or touch 2/3 and more of the time. Up to 10 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time. Up to 25 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time. Up to 50 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time. Lifting hoses above shoulders approximately 25 pounds. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point). Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships). Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED
Basic hand tools 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. Forklift truck 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED
Work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to vibration up to 1/3 of the time. Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals; and exposure to extreme heat (non-weather) 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. Exposure to wet, humid conditions (non-weather) 2/3 and more of the time. Exposure to loud noise. Gloves, face shields, aprons, goggles and steel-toed boots required.
