4:00am-12:00pm Join a dynamic food manufacturing team as a Packaging Associate and play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality product packaging. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in a fast-paced environment within the food industry. Packaging Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Handle and inspect cheese products to ensure they meet quality and food safety standards.
- Perform tasks such as scraping, spice rubbing, wrapping, cutting, labeling, and painting cheese.
- Prepare packaging by making boxes, sealing, and labeling products according to specifications.
- Operate packaging machinery including rotary sealers, loaders, tape machines, and pallet wrappers after training.
- Palletize finished products and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, including proper PPE usage.
- Maintain stock levels of packaging materials and report shortages.
Packaging Requirements:
- Ability to stand for over 8 hours with frequent bending, twisting, and squatting.
- Repetitive lifting of up to 30 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Good personal hygiene practices and ability to work on knees during inspections.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Familiarity with computers for email and documentation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Corrected vision is acceptable to perform visual inspections.
