Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible assembling parts on or off the line according to the schedule set by team leader or supervisorESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble parts according to the information in the packets and/or databases but all work must be spot checked by an A or B assembler. Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners Checks finished parts for completeness, defects or damage Package parts for safe travel Alerts supervisor to equipment or quality problems An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units Initiative Adaptability Attention to detail and accuracy Listening skills Must be able to lift 50lbs on a continuous basisPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Blueprint reading and measuring equipment experience preferred 6 months of prior experience is preferred Experience using power tools is requiredPHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
