Set-Up Technician Responsibilities:

• Performing set-up, changeover, teardown, and maintenance of extrusion tooling and related equipment
• Operating extruder and auxiliary downstream equipment
• Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as required
• Producing quality products by following extrusion set-up sheets, work instructions, and company procedures
• Completing dimensional charts, check sheets, and all required production documentation accurately and on time
• Updating set-up sheets and related documents as processes or specifications change
• Inspecting parts to specification using precision measuring and testing equipment
• Troubleshooting extrusion process issues and providing technical support to operators and other lines as needed
• Participating in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative corrections
• Preparing cartons, skids, and tooling for upcoming orders to support production flow
• Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements For Set-Up Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in plastic extrusion set-up and operation; prior forklift experience
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Ability to stand / walk for 8-10 hours in fast-paced environment; lifting 50 pounds regularly
• Strong math skills including fractions and conversions
• Ability to operate forklifts, calipers, gauges, tape measures, drills, and saws
