ABOUT THE ROLE
The Chemical Compounder operates equipment to weigh, mix, and blend batches of coating chemicals.
Starting Wage:
$31.46 + $1.00
Shift Differential Schedule:
3 pm to 1:30 am Monday - Friday
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
Follow all Standard Work Instructions and Company Policies
Adhere/Follow all safety rules
Alert supervision to product quality or machine operation concerns
Maintain the 5S standard of the assigned area.
Weighs and stages ingredients with great accuracy
Cleans and maintains all equipment, includes tank scraping as required
Package materials as needed
Accurately completes batch tickets
Identifies and takes action for variations in raw materials, foreign debrix, texture and color
Works closely with QC to adjust batches to reach specs
Follows the Lock Out Tag Out procedures
Other duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience
Mfg experience preferred (demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with computer controlled equipment)
Ability to follow standard work instructions, use measurement tools, blueprints, manuals as needed Must be able to lift up to 50lbs including use of lifting assistance devices
Ability to stand for extended period of time
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel as required
Ability to operate mobile equipment as required
This position has the potential to manage and handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
