54211 Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator / Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and adjust production equipment to meet established quality standards, safety guidelines, and production targets . This position is ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Operate assigned manufacturing machinery and production equipment to meet daily output and quality requirements Perform basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance Monitor machine settings (speed, feed, tension, controls) and make adjustments per standard operating procedures (SOPs) Read and interpret work orders, technical specifications, production samples, and written/verbal instructions Use small hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, rubber mallet) and measuring devices (tape measure, scale) Conduct in-process inspections and quality control sampling per established standards Complete production documentation including production logs, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Operator Live Logs, and time reporting forms Identify and report defective materials, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors Package, label, weigh, and properly store finished goods Maintain compliance with AIB standards, PPE requirements, Behavioral Based Safety Observations (BBSO), and OSHA safety regulations Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S and housekeeping standards Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure and measurement tools Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork Preferred Qualifications (Plus Skills) Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Technician, Equipment Operator, or Assembly Operator Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), or ISO quality standards Forklift certification (if applicable) Experience in packaging, plastics, food processing, or industrial manufacturing environments Additional Information Work Environment Manufacturing / industrial production setting Requires standing for extended periods Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Compensation & Benefits We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including: 401(k) with company match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life and Disability Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off (PTO) Parental Leave & Paid Elder Care Tuition Reimbursement & Professional Development Assistance Employee Discounts Retirement Plan Options Equal Opportunity Employer We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
