Medical Device Cleanroom Technician - 1st & 2nd Shift Positions Job Description Support daily production and packaging activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related standard operating procedures (SOPs). Work diligently to achieve assigned production goals and meet any unscheduled peaks in workload as necessary to ensure the timely release of products and avoid back orders. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Team Leader to detail critical raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications. Identify and implement corrective actions for technical problems related to raw materials and finished products. Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products. Address line issues and other production problems; promptly notify the Team Leader of required corrective actions. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs. Utilize the computerized Materials Resource Planning (MRP) inventory system as required to report lot-controlled ingredients on batch records. Essential Skills At least four years of previous assembly/packaging experience. Previous experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is strongly preferred. Understanding of SOPs and their application in a manufacturing environment. Ability to explain GDP and demonstrate adherence to good documentation practices. Familiarity with line clearances and ability to provide accurate examples. Proficiency in machine operation, quality assurance, packaging, and inspection. Computer operation skills, including knowledge of GMP. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with or ability to quickly comprehend coagulation-based manufacturing processes. Familiarity with GDP, GMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA, and ISO. Knowledge of qualification and validation trials is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and large Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is available on the first shift, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The dress code requires pants; leggings are not permitted. No makeup or lipstick is allowed, and necklaces must be tucked into shirts. Eyeglasses must have side shields. The room can be loud, and the company provides ear protection. Headphones and cell phones are not allowed on the manufacturing floor. After a month and a half of training, overtime may be required, and flexibility is needed. Reliability is crucial, as missing personnel can cause bottlenecks in the process. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
