Job Description

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the accurate assembly of IDI products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures and test equipment, to perform a series of operations, to required specifications, procedures, to correctly assemble products following written and verbal instructions, basic diagrams, blueprints specifications, engineering drawings, and bills of materials. Job Functions/Competencies Read and write as well as interpret drawings Follow documented and detailed policies, procedures and assembly instructions Self motivated and the ability to work independently to meet work deadlines Manual dexterity to work with handheld tools Knowledge of proper use of tools and measurement Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly, perform quality work checks to ensure the produce meets quality standards Identify product defects and initiate appropriate documentation when defects are identified Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Maintain inventory of product in workstations Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea High attention to detail and self-motivation skills Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions Contributes to building a team spirit and displays professionalism Identify and support continuous improvement efforts
Education/Training:
High School Diploma or GED Trade School Training or similar work experience preferred.
