Medical Assembly/Molding OperatorALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE
$20/HR-$22/HR Job Description The Molding Operator operates and tends production equipment to create high-quality parts and products for the medical device industry. This role works between injection molding and assembly areas, performing quality checks, basic trimming, assembly, packaging, labeling, and movement of product in a clean, medical-grade environment. The position involves highly repetitive tasks and requires comfort working with microscopes and following detailed work orders. Responsibilities Operate and tend molding machines and related equipment to produce medical device components according to established procedures. Move between injection molding and assembly areas as production needs require. Perform injection mold operations including closing machine doors, initiating machine cycles, unloading parts, and conducting basic trimming of molded parts. Assemble basic plastic medical components accurately and consistently following work instructions and work orders. Package and label finished products according to specifications and quality standards. Conduct routine quality checks on parts and assemblies to ensure they meet required standards. Read, understand, and follow work orders and production documentation. Use microscopes to inspect small components and assemblies as part of the quality and production process. Troubleshoot basic production or machine issues and escalate concerns when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with cleanroom and safety requirements. Follow all manufacturing, cleanroom, and safety procedures while handling materials and operating equipment. Support general labor tasks related to production, including moving product and materials as needed. Demonstrate reliable attendance, a positive attitude, and strong communication with team members and supervisors. Essential Skills Experience with machine operation or machine operating in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to work comfortably in a highly repetitive production role. Ability to read and follow work orders and written instructions accurately. Basic troubleshooting skills within a manufacturing or production setting. Experience working with microscopes for inspection or assembly tasks. General labor skills related to handling, moving, and organizing product. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow directions. Consistent and reliable attendance with a positive, team-oriented attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Some prior manufacturing experience is highly helpful. Previous experience in the medical device or medical manufacturing industry is a plus. Injection molding experience is not required but is considered an advantage. Familiarity with cleanroom environments, including Class 7 or Class 8 cleanrooms, is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in both molding and assembly roles as production needs change. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
