This position offers an opportunity to learn a highly specialized trade while working alongside experienced professionals dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with limb loss and mobility challenges. This is a hands-on role in a collaborative clinical and laboratory environment where mentorship, craftsmanship, innovation, and patient-centered care are highly valued. Team members work alongside experienced professionals with decades of expertise in fabrication techniques and the development of lightweight, durable prosthetic systems customized to each individual's needs and activity level. The practice utilizes advanced fabrication technologies, including CAD/CAM systems and modern prosthetic manufacturing techniques, while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, precision, and compassionate patient care. Compensation Competitive pay starting at approximately $22.00 per hour and/or commensurate with applicable work experience Opportunities for hands-on training and career growth within a specialized healthcare trade Position Summary The Prosthetic Technician assists in the fabrication, assembly, repair, modification, and adjustment of prosthetic and orthotic devices under the supervision of certified clinicians and experienced technical staff. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, precision fabrication, and learning specialized trade skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with fabrication and assembly of prosthetic and orthotic devices Modify, repair, and maintain devices as directed by clinical staff Operate laboratory equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently Perform grinding, laminating, molding, and finishing techniques Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment Support clinicians with patient fittings and adjustments as needed Follow safety, quality, and infection control procedures Learn and apply industry-specific fabrication methods and technologies Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail Ability to work with hand tools and fabrication equipment Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights Effective communication and teamwork skills Prior experience in fabrication, manufacturing, automotive, woodworking, construction, healthcare, or related hands-on trades is preferred but not required Formal trade training or on-the-job technical experience is a plus Preferred Attributes Dependable and self-motivated Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment Interest in medical device fabrication and rehabilitation technology Desire to build long-term technical skills and career growth within the prosthetics and orthotics field Join us in shaping lives through innovative prosthetic solutions!
