Job Description

Overview Join our small manufacturing team as a Foundry Worker/Grinder! In this role, you will be an essential part of our production process, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality output. Your mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills will contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive manufacturing environment. Primary focus will be grinding and cleaning of cast components, but you will be cross trained as an assistant to the furnace operator and molding line as well. Duties Operate power grinding tools, both large and small. Operate sand blasters and shot blasters. Safely operate a forklift. Assist with the grinding and finishing of cast components in the foundry process. Assist and occasionally operate electric induction furnaces. Assist with no-bake sand molding line. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications Previous foundry or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to hand tools, power tools, and general machinery operation. Welding experience, especially TIG welding is a plus. Experience with forklift operation/certification is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and safety standards within a production environment. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team, maintain a professional relationship with coworkers. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to stay on task. Physical ability to stand, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout shifts.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
