TEMP-TO-HIRE OPPORTUNITY
Job Description The Molding Process Technician supports manufacturing operations by performing injection mold setup, startup, troubleshooting, and process optimization. This role is responsible for ensuring molds run efficiently while meeting quality standards, cycle time targets, and production schedules. The position also plays a key role in new mold testing, validation, and documentation within a structured manufacturing environment. Pay $30.00- $35.00 per hour Schedule Monday
- Friday 7:00AM
- 3:30PM Job Duties Set up molds, auxiliary equipment, robots, tooling, loaders, and materials for production and testing Perform mold testing in accordance with established procedures Troubleshoot molding processes to achieve optimal cycle times and product quality Start up and support production molding machines based on production schedules Verify critical dimensions and cosmetic requirements using drawings and approved samples Develop and document process parameters and setup requirements for each mold Maintain complete process documentation ("process books") for all molds Assist in developing "Runs Best" process guidelines for molds Perform line clearance procedures at the end of production runs Conduct preventive maintenance on molding machines and document all activities Support continuous improvement initiatives related to molding processes and efficiency Work cross-functionally with production and quality teams as needed Requirements Strong experience with injection molding setup, processing, and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with complex molds (hot runner, hot sprue, multi-slide actions) Experience with insert molding and over molding required Knowledge of scientific molding principles, SPC, and DOE preferred Strong mechanical understanding of molds and components Experience with robotics, automation, and secondary equipment Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements) Effective communication skills in a team environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with ERP systems (IQMS or similar) preferred Ability to manage work orders, production reporting, inventory, and maintenance systems Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 55 lbs as needed Must follow all company safety policies and procedures Experience working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
