Full Job Description EDUCATION/Requirement:
  • High School/GED Diploma or trade school certificate a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience with CNC machines including one or more of the following:
  • Turning
  • Horizontal
  • Vertical
  • Lathe
  • Good basic knowledge on CNC machine processes and capabilities.
  • Experience in not only operating, but also with setups, edits, offsets, and inspection.
  • Proficient with all measuring instruments and in drawing interpretation
  • Follow Travelers, and Manufacturing Instructions Job Description:
  • CNC Setup Machinists are responsible for Setup and Operation of CNC machines.
  • Operate the machine, change tool values as necessary, replace and qualify tooling as necessary.
  • Perform setups, edits, offsets, touch-offs, etc. to create parts that meet drawing requirements.
  • Be able to monitor CNC equipment while manufacturing parts in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Be able to inspect work and adjust tool and work offsets as needed to maintain tolerances as called out on the print, Process Plan or QA documentation.
  • Comply with all data collection activities.
  • Be able to inspect work in process and when time allows inspect work of others. At times you will be required to operate more than one machine. When required the employee must comply with basic maintenance of equipment.
  • Be able to work as a Team member and support all Dept.
