  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mold Maker specializing in Plastic Injection Molding to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision molds used in plastic injection processes. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality, durable molds that meet strict specifications and enhance manufacturing efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining techniques and cutting-edge CAD/CAM software in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to develop detailed mold designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Program CNC machines including CNC lathe, milling machines, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment to produce precise mold components. Fabricate molds through various machining processes including CNC programming, grinding, welding, and fabrication of tooling parts. Perform assembly of mold components with hand tools, ensuring proper fit and function according to GD&T standards. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Troubleshoot mold issues by analyzing schematics and utilizing mechanical knowledge to perform repairs or modifications efficiently. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize mold designs for plastics injection molding processes, ensuring manufacturability and durability. Maintain detailed documentation of mold fabrication processes, schematics, and inspection reports for quality control purposes. Skills Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD for designing molds and tooling components. Strong knowledge of CNC programming for CNC lathe, milling machines, and EDM equipment. Expertise in plastics injection molding processes including tooling design, fabrication, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality assurance. Experience with welding techniques relevant to mold fabrication such as TIG or MIG welding. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of schematics, assembly procedures, and fabrication methods. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges accurately. Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and best practices in machining environments. Skilled in the use of hand tools, fabrication equipment, stamping presses, and precision instruments for mold making.
