Job Description

Position Overview The Senior Tooling Technician will independently maintain, diagnose, and repair thermoplastic and LSR injection molds. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance procedures on molds Repair molds as needed Fabricate, repair, modify components Troubleshoot and diagnose mold and molding problems and effectively communicate solutions Clean molds with use of dry ice machine Mentor other Technicians where applicable Utilize ERP system to track all activities relating to molds Maintain inventory and order spare parts as needed Maintain inventory of molds Qualifications Ten years' experience with injection molds (maintain or build) Competent abilities in use of basic machine shop equipment used in tooling repair and maintenance including milling machine, CNC, lathe, surface grinder Experience with thermoplastic and liquid silicone rubber molds Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently Critical thinking skills Initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team player Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read and understand mold, part prints, and mold CAD Basic metrology Basic computer skills Forklift experience and ability to operate overhead cranes Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours while turning, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, clutching, placing and lifting up to 50 lbs. Highly Desirable Hot Runner and cold deck experience Experience with CAD (SolidWorks) Injection molding processing experience Working knowledge of IQMS and Teams

knowledge Commercial Driver License Additional Requirements Flexibility to work outside regular business hours to accomplish tasks Normal manufacturing conditions always require safety observation Employees are responsible for supporting both facilities (Ellington, CT and Somers, CT)
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
