Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Water Mitigation / Mold Technician and become a vital part of restoring properties affected by water damage, mold, and fire incidents. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for assessing damage, executing cleanup and remediation processes, and ensuring our clients' spaces are safe, healthy, and fully restored. Your hands-on expertise in water mitigation, mold remediation, and restoration will help transform distressed environments into safe havens. Responsibilities Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment to prevent further damage. Conduct mold inspections, identify sources of moisture, and execute mold remediation procedures following industry standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools to remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation. Assist with fire restoration efforts by cleaning soot and smoke damage from surfaces and contents. Apply cleaning techniques to restore carpets, upholstery, and other affected items efficiently. Follow safety protocols during asbestos abatement or other hazardous material handling to ensure compliance with regulations. Document all work performed accurately and communicate progress effectively with team members and clients. Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or cleaning is highly preferred. Knowledge of water damage restoration processes, mold remediation techniques, and fire restoration is essential. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and carpet cleaning equipment. Ability to handle hazardous materials like asbestos safely and in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Physically capable of performing demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Valid driver's license preferred; willingness to learn industry-specific certifications is a plus.
